Victorian era setting and dialogue are actually what drew me into this story as I found it refreshingly different from the modern day horror stories that all kind of read the same after a while. Has a bit of a twist at the end as well as a satisfying conclusion making for a good read.I'll be concentrating on reviewing Halloween themed book thru the month of October for the second year running so feel free to "see all my reviews" most recently if you're of a like mind and am looking for some spooky stuff this time of year.

Good book
A good mystery, easy reading, the ending not too complicated.
prefer his chinese stories but this one is not bad and will buy more of these
I'll admit that I started off not liking this story. It was rather old school. Yes, I know it was intentionally written that way, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. However, the ending was well worth it. Very clever! Yep, I'd recommend this story and author.
